Friday Favorites #7

Happy Friday!

I've told you guys how much I love Wes Anderson films so this book
is perfect. This book is basically an inside look at all seven of Wes
Anderson's films and I think that's awesome. Plus the cover is beautiful.

We've established that I love tea and I think Keurig's are amazing.
We have a full size one in our kitchen that I use to make tea so
I thought it would be neat to get one for my room so I can drink even more tea!
Keurig's are so neat. Did you know you can even use one to make ramen noodles?
Perfect for dorm rooms!

"Growing a perfect moustache, grilling red meat, wooing a woman—who better to deliver this tutelage than the always charming, always manly Nick Offerman, best known as Parks and Recreation’s Ron Swanson?  Combining his trademark comic voice and very real expertise in woodworking—he runs his own woodshop—Paddle Your Own Canoe features tales from Offerman’s childhood in small-town Minooka, Illinois—“I grew up literally in the middle of a cornfield”—to his theater days in Chicago, beginnings as a carpenter/actor and the hilarious and magnificent seduction of his now-wife Megan Mullally.   It also offers hard-bitten battle strategies in the arenas of manliness, love, style, religion, woodworking, and outdoor recreation, among many other savory entrees" -Goodreads
You may know Nick Offerman as Ron Swanson on NBC's Parks & Recreation
If you watch Parks and Rec then you know that Ron Swanson is awesome.
He's literally the definition of a man. He builds
things, hunts, fishes, eats loads of red meat so who would be a better person
to teach you about living deliciously than Nick Offerman? Check his book out and also
watch Parks & Rec on Netflix if you haven't!

Look how cute these are!!! I adore vintage figurines. I think they're adorable and
would be perfect to set out for Christmas. Honestly I would
probably leave them out all year around.

I love to bake and this charm bracelet shows that in such a cute way! Bracelets
are pretty much the only jewelry that I wear and I would wear this all the time.
I added it to my Christmas list maybe Santa will get it for me :)
The shop on Etsy, Inspired Designs by Rob, has a bunch of super cute jewelry.
Check it out!

I have a small collection of vintage style brooches and I've been looking for a record
player or record one to show my love of vinyl and this one is perfect! This is from
The Craveyard by Little Suzy Homemaker on Etsy and my goodness
the items this shop has! I adore everything. I first learned about this shop from a
post that the lovely ladies of Junebugs and Georgia Peaches did
and I immediately fell in love. Check out their shop!

I hope you guys have a great weekend and keep warm!

Friday Favorites #6

Hey lovelies!

It's friday! I'm sure all of you are super excited to
relax this weekend and I'm sure you deserve it!
Have I mentioned that Friday Favorites are
my favorite type of post? Anyways here we go!

This book is super neat and I need to have it.
It has recipes for all the best tea party foods and the cover is simply
adorable! I've always wanted to host a real tea party. I wonder
if I could get my friends on board.

I saw this book in one of Retro Renovation's posts and I had
to have it. I love to color and I love mid-century. Rockport Publishers
has three mid century coloring books and they're all adorable.

I LOVE these pens. They're mostly used by artists but I just use them for
regular writing. They have a super fine point and
never dry out or fade. Amazon has the best prices by far!
The 8 pack is $14 on Amazon and that is a steal! Check them out!

Oh my gosh. How cute are these pieces from Modcloth?
I know Halloween is over but this sweater is super cute! It looks like one
of those sweaters you could just cuddle up in. These socks are adorable.
I love cats sos much. I would wear a complete
outfit with nothing but cat patterns if I could. I'll probably order
these because I need them.

I hope you guys have enjoyed this post! Be sure to check out
my Modcloth post today! It has a giveaway in it! :)

Friday Favorites: Halloween Edition

Hey gals and ghouls!
'Its Halloween! One of my favorite holidays! I've watched two spooky movies today, the 1942 version of the Cat People and the original House on Haunted Hill! I' watching my third right now, The Legend of Hell House. Bless Turner Classic Movies. Anyways today's Friday Favorites are Halloween themed and I hope you enjoy them!

I love the look of thee reproduction cutouts. The look like the kind you see in movies from back in the day and I would leave them up all year round to be honest. The little pumpkin is my favorite. He looks so happy. Party Cheap has a bunch of other inexpensive party supplies and I highly recommend you check them out for all of your party needs!

This picture is insanely awesome. The owner of the shop, Mari, is super talented. She takes antique photos and alters them to make these one of a kind photos. She has loads of photos for sale and I'll be ordering some from her soon!

These posters are from Uncle Gertrude's on Etsy and I adore them. Some of the posters have a lot going on but it looks really neat. The Bette and Dot poster looks like its old and worn from years of being put up and taken down in different venues. The Psycho one looks like an actual movie poster for the movie and I love it!

I love Funko POP! figures They are adorable and there is a huge range of them from movie characters like Beetlejuice and Sam (from Trick'r'Treat) to athletes like Clay Matthews and J.J.Watts. These figures are super affordable as far as collectibles go. Check them out!

I hope you guys have enjoyed this week's Halloween theme! Enjoy your Halloween!

Friday Favorites #4

 Hey guys!

Its time for Friday Favorites! These weeks favorites consist of more items from Etsy stores among other places. I love Etsy a lot. So many creative people with neat items in one place! I hope you guys check these places out!

I love this shop so much! The owner, Dustin, is such a sweet person and the buttons he makes are so awesome! I've ordered all the buttons I have pictured here plus a few more and I love them. They're great quality and have such a neat look to them. His prices are super reasonable and they ship super fast. You have to check out his shop!

I love tea. A lot. I drink it daily. Earl Gray is my favorite and I  need to expand my tea circle. Stash Teas are super good for bagged teas. I love loose tea more than bagged but sometimes I don't feel like making a whole pot. This gift box has 10 bags of 14 different flavors and it is the perfect way to try new flavors! Plus you can share or not. I mean I wouldn't.

American Horror Story Freakshow No Turning Back Now t shirt

Is it me or is this season of American Horror Story the best ever? I loved Coven but homicidal clowns, 1950s Florida, and Jessica Lange singing Lana Del Rey? Can you say perfect? This shirt from Freak Trinkets on Etsy is the perfect shirt to commemorate this season. I will admit that the price tag at $35 is more than I would spend but it does look incredibly awesome.

V for Victory 1940s inspired felt brooch with embroidered "Victory" banner

I have a small collection of brooches and pins. Most of them are vintage style and I would love to add this pin from Wacky Tuna Vintage on Etsy to my collection. It looks what I imagine how one would've looked back in the 1940s if a housewife made one herself! Plus the colors are gorgeous. Wacky Tuna Vintage has tons of other neat brooches including some shaped like states!

I love old homes a lot. They have amazing character and detail. They were built when the quality was more important than how quick they could get it built. This type of home is pretty much a dream home. It has a large picture window in the living room and a decent size kitchen. Plus look how cute it is! Mid Century Home Style has loads of other house plans that are really neat to look at!

I hope you guys enjoyed this weeks Friday Favorites! Do you watch American Horror Story? If so how  do you feel about this season?

Friday Favorites #3

Hey guys! It's that time of the week again! I've stumbled across
a bunch of totally neat things and I hope you enjoy looking at them! ( you can click on the pictures to enlarge them)

These soy based candles are made by Frostbeard Studios on Etsy and I need them all. They have wax melts and sample packs so you can try a little of every scent! I mean who doesn't want their house to smell like a bookstore?

(left to right) Ariel/Merida/Pocahontas

These adorable Disney Princess inspired necklaces are made by Katnip Crafts on Etsy. I know the owner, Kathryn, and she is the sweetest person ever! Not only does she make necklaces but she also makes earrings! She doesn't ship to the United States right now but I'm sure she would be willing to work with you!

Fatally Feminine is one of the neatest jewelry shops on Etsy. Aubree makes jewelry that looks just like food and some is even scented! How cool is that?! She also takes custom orders so maybe she could make that bacon scented necklace you've always wanted.

These hoops come from It's Only You on Etsy and they are gorgeous! Marley, the owner, is incredibly talented! I could fill up a wall with all of her work! Not only does she sell her embroidery but she also sells some neat vintage items! Go check her out!

The last shop is called Oh My Deer Love and it is the cutest shop! I had no idea you could make so many cute things from felt! Sarah, the shop owner, makes hair clips, hoop art, garlands, pennants and even felt plants! I'm really eyeing that pyrex garland for the kitchen.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks Friday Favorites! Support independent shops whenever you can!

Friday Favorites #2

It's Friday! Yay! That means it's time for Friday Favorites! Now most of the items in my Friday Favorites posts will be cooking/baking related and some will be just things I find neat. This blog will mostly be a cooking/baking blog but it is also a whatever I want blog. So I may talk about crafty stuff I find on pinterest cute clothes or neat shops on Etsy! Just roll with it :) On to Friday Favorites!

Woodland Whimsy Teapot

First of all how cute is this this teapot? I adore most of the things on Modcloth and this teapot is no exception! It is enamel with cute little animals on it that reminds me of the Scandinavian Enamelware! I drink tea a lot, probably more than I should and I'm always looking for cute mugs and teapots like this one!

Morning Essentials Container Set

My mom and I recently redecorated our kitchen. It was painted a mocha color with coffee accents but now it is a robin's egg blue with retro decor. Since changing the kitchen we got rid of the canisters we had and are in desperate need of new ones and these would fit in perfectly with our new decor! Although that tea canister wouldn't fit all my tea!

Serves Up Tray

I've been looking for a cute tray to put my teapot and cup on and this fits the bill perfectly! It's a gorgeous color and has a vintage feel to it! It would be cute to also set up on a shelf as decor.

Any of you that know me, know that I LOVE vintage pyrex. It is really going to become a problem. I adore most of the patterns and they look great when used as decor plus you can still use them to cook with! I collect as much Pyrex as I can in almost any pattern. A good site to use to figure out what pattern you have is Pyrex Love. Real vintage pyrex can be a little hard to find especially if you're looking for a certain pattern but Etsy and eBay are great places to look!

Sale-Pair of Chevron Oven Mitts in Black, Gray, Yellow or Aqua Blue

Pair of Chevron Oven Mitts

I am in need of some new oven mitts. The ones that I own have holes, burn marks and thin spots. But I also want some that are super cute and these oven mitts from Apple Berry Blue on Etsy are perfect! The yellow ones would look great in our kitchen and you can't beat $10 for a pair!

My last Friday Favorite is actually six art prints from Society6. I adore Society6 because they support independent artists and you can find a print of anything you've ever thought of! The prices are super reasonable and the artwork is amazing! These prints are only a fraction of what is on my wish list. I hope to get them and put them on my wall. The Grand Budapest Hotel and Moonrise Kingdom are both movies directed by Wes Anderson and they are some of my favorite movies! I highly recommend watching them!

I think Friday Favorites are one of my favorite postings to do! I hope you guys enjoy them too! Now for the question of the day: Are you a tea or coffee person?
