Hey guys!
Today I'm telling you about one of my all time favorite movies, called Moonrise Kingdom. It's written and directed by Wes Anderson, who is an absolute genius and all around magic man. He also wrote and directed Fantastic Mr. Fox which is another amazing movie! Moonrise Kingdom is about a couple of young teenagers who fall in love on a New England island. This movie is set in the 1960s which means the fashion and colors are beautiful. Sam is one of the main characters of the movie, hes a boy scout and an orphan. During the summer of 1965 he meets Suzy Bishop who is the most beautiful girl he's ever seen. Suzy's parents consider her a troubled child because sometimes she has fits of uncontrollable rage where she blacks out. The two fall in love and decide to run away since they think no one will miss them. Their plan would've gone off without a hitch if people didn't realize they had run off and started looking for them. Sam's scout troop and Suzy's family team up to find the two kids and they eventually do but the short journey leading up to that part is what makes this movie beautiful. This film wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea but you should check it out anyways. I've added the trailer at the end of this post. Did I mention that Bruce Willis, Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton are in the movie? Because they are and they are brilliant.
