{Dream House} Living Room & Kitchen

I hope you all had a great Christmas! Sorry for my absence. The holidays are pretty hectic around here. But I'm back and I'm bringing you the second post in my Dream House feature!

Today is all about the living room and the kitchen. Both of these rooms are super important to me. The living room is where everyone gathers and the kitchen is where you cook meals for the ones you love! I've put some thought into these two rooms as far as the look and feel of them. I want them to warm and cozy with quite a bit of color and retro flair. Let's get to it!

{Dream House} Exterior

Hey guys!

Starting today I'll be doing a little feature on my Dream House. I'll be doing posts on the exterior and interior of my Dream House. This is the first post of possible 3 or so and I hope you enjoy it!

I love older homes. They have character and the quality of older homes far surpasses the homes of today. I really enjoy homes from the 1800s to 1979. Any newer than 1979 and I don't want it. If you look online for blueprints of older homes then you'll find enormous amounts of blueprints. Mostly of the ones I'm showing you today are from Retro Renovation, which is an amazing site if you have an older home you want to restore or if you just want to look at neat pictures. They also have ways you can make your newer home look retro! Today's post is all about what I want the exterior to look like including the paint colors! Let's get started!

These two homes are from the 1955 Lincoln Homes I love the picture windows on both houses. Windows are super important in my Dream House because I much prefer natural light. I also like to leave them open when the weather is cooler.  I also like the stone and brick detailing on these houses. I really adds a little extra something.

I'm not sure of exterior paint colors yet. I'm still looking for the perfect color combo. Leave some suggestions in the comments! The next post in this series will be about the living room and kitchen! See you next time!
