Purr*Pack Subscription Box Review

*All opinions in this post are mine. I was given a Purr*Pack in exchange for an honest review. This post contains affiliate links.
Send a Purr-Pack gift to the cat lover in your life!

Hey everyone! I'm back with a new review post! I approached Purr*Packs and asked if I could review their Teaser Box and they graciously let me. As some of you may know I have a cat and a dog. My cat is named Sinatra and my dog is named Chester. I love these two so so much and I've been wanting to do one of these subscription boxes for a while. There is quite a few on the market for dogs but not as many for cats so I was so excited when I found Purr*Pack!

Sinatra is a pretty picky cat. She won't eat certain foods and some toys shes doesn't really care for so I thought maybe this box would work for her and it did! She loved it! The Teaser Purr*Pack costs $24.99 a month and it contains between 5-7 items depending on the value of the items. The value of the items can equal anywhere from $35 to $40 per box. That sounds like an awesome deal to me! The Teaser box is more suited for a single cat and I agree. Sinatra doesn't share very well :)

Here's the breakdown of the items.

Here's what the box looked like when I opened it. Look at all those toys!

These are the first set of things in the box. It was quite a hassle
trying to keep Sinatra fro taking them.

This the rest of what was in the box. She wasn't fond of the treats but I think it was because of the flavor. She doesn't like seafood flavored things as weird as that sounds. The Quick Bags are more for me when I clean out her litter box which should make cleaning it easier.

They also included a cardboard scratching board which I forgot to take a picture of until she has already gone to town on it. Overall I'm very happy with this Purr*Pack and I would definitely recommend it if you have cats or need a good gift for someone who does.

As you can see the banana with catnip was her favorite! She's happy so I'm happy :)

Thank you Purr*Pack!

{Review} Impulse Cosmetics Lipsticks Samples

I love lipstick. I didn't always like it. As a matter of fact you wouldn't catch me wearing lipstick before last year but now I wear it almost everyday and my collection is growing. I'm always on the look out for new lipsticks to try and I stumbled upon Impulse Cosmetics. Impulse Cosmetics is an indie company based out of Erie, Pennsylvania. Each of their products are made by hand in small batches. Now this isn't a  group of 10-20 people. It's literally TWO people behind this amazing company. None of their products are tested on animals and most of them are Vegan unless stated. The prices of the products are pretty comparable to say Maybelline or NYX which I think is great! Let's get into the review, shall we?

I ordered five of their opaque matte lipstick samples and I love almost all of them.

(left to right) Arcadia, Dementia, Medusa, Pandora, and Bombshell

All of these colors are gorgeous! But some of them like Pandora and Dementia can require a couple of swipes but that could be due to the fact that I used a brush to apply them. The lipsticks are super moisturizing which is really important to me. Another thing that's important is staying power and all of them have great staying power!

Arcadia is actually my favorite. It's a beautiful brick red! Bombshell was a little different for me because it wasn't a dark-ish color that I've used to but it's very pretty and looks good with my pale skin. Overall I'm very happy with these lipsticks and I'll definitely be ordering full size versions. I definitely recommend them not only for traditional lipstick colors but for more out their colors like lime green or white.

I really love this company and can't wait to order more!

{Recipe} Homemade Mint Lemonade

Hey guys!
The weather is getting warmer so it's time to break out the swimsuits and sunscreen! Today I have a recipe to share with you. This recipe is from my 1950s Better Homes & Gardens cookbook. I bought from an antique market for $2! It's a little worn but it's my favorite cookbook.

This recipe is for lemonade and it is super easy! But I've added a little twist by adding mint to the lemonade because I love mint.

Ingredients
-  1 C. Sugar
- 1 C. Water
- 3 or so Lemons
-Fresh Mint Leaves

Directions
  1. Cook the sugar and water for 3 minutes to make a simple syrup; Store in the refrigerator.
  2. Juice the lemons.
  3. Muddle the mint leaves in a glass
  4. Mix 3 to 4 tablespoons of simple syrup, 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice, and 1 cup of water per serving.
  5.  Pour over the mint leaves and add ice; Enjoy!

Honestly when it comes to mixing the lemonade I have more lemon juice than anything else in mine. I like my lemonade to me more tart than sweet. So really you can just play around with mixing it to see what you like best!

What's your favorite drink to beat the heat?
