Holiday Mail for Heroes 2014

American Hero Envelope

Hey guys!

The holidays are coming up and we all know that its a time to
spend with our loved ones but not everyone can be home with their families.
The American Red Cross has a program called Holiday Mail for Heroes
This program allows you to send holiday cards to members of the armed
forces, veterans and their families. The holidays are about
giving back so why not give back to those that
protect our freedom? The Red Cross has some
guidelines that you MUST follow to have your card sent out.

Guidelines

Do

-Ensure all cards are signed
-Write heartfelt sentiments, keep it upbeat!
-Use "Dear Service Member, Veteran, or Family" to address a
 wide variety of recipient
-Each card does not need it's own envelope

Do Not

-Give personal information such as email or address
-Use lots of glitter or loose glitter
-Include inserts (photos, etc.)

Mail cards to :

American Red Cross
158 Brooklawn Avenue
Bridgeport, CT 06604

Care Packages:

If you would like to send care packages then I encourage you
to look at Any SoldierThis is a website where
soldiers and units can post what they need
and you can send items to them. It's a really great website.

Give back this holiday season!
